New Projects in the College Comenius Antonio Gala

School year began and with it new proposals, plans and ideas. The College Antonio Gala in Dos Hermanas has embarked on two new projects, lasting two years, that have been accepted by the Autonomous European Educational Programs which is under the Ministry of Education, promoting mobility, learning and cooperation between schools Europe.

Among these projects is ‘Natural Treasures of Europe’ which is aimed at students in primary and secondary. The initial projects will do nature activities within the province followed by those who will investigate those activities through science. Moreover, there will be several exchanges with schools in other countries, some of which are: Belgium, Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Portugal ...

The second project approved by the centre is called ‘Integration and equality in education through physical activity, play and sport’, which the College is also proud to coordinate between the participating countries, including Norway, Cyprus, Portugal, Latvia and Bulgaria.

This project is primarily aimed at students in primary education, which will work for gender equality, integration of cultures and the integration of disability in the school. Supporting an inclusive attitude, equality, knowing how to work these concepts from school, what resources are needed for better integration and harnessing the potential of each.

And all this we begin to take place next week from 13 to 17 October; first official visit of the countries mentioned in the second draft to the College Antonio Gala, resulting in varied activities such as visit to the school and facilities, ANIDI (Nazarene Association for the integration of people with intellectual disabilities), the center of Seville, Cádiz ... sports activities tailored to the needs of integration, display of flamenco dance group and by students, official meeting between the teachers and so forth. In addition, one significant change is the reception in the City of Dos Hermanas next October 13th visitors to the new Comenius.

With great enthusiasm we hope to develop this amazing project in the best possible way, learning and teaching from a more globalization.
